Musical Director

                   Justin Thomas

Justin started Locrian back in 1992 and over the years has led us through a musical journey through a wide variety of beautiful music.  Justin studied music at Cardiff University and has had a fulfilling career teaching music and religious studies.   The Locrian Chamber Choir is a direct result of Justin's vision,  musicality and inspiring leadership and teaching.

Background

The name "Locrian" is a musical mode with specific features.    Formed in 1992, the choir have been singing beautiful music together for over 20 years.  We have a wide repertoire, from the 14th century until 20th century choral music.  We aim to arrange 2-3 concerts per year, for the benefit of our audiences and the greater community, and have regularly sung with Bedfordshire's Sinfonia orchestra.
